This means the person suffering from acne must stay on this medication all their lives for clear skin. And that can cause some pretty nasty side effects including:

- Skin rashes
- Sunlight sensitivity
- An overgrowth of yeast (thrush).

In addition, women who may become pregnant, are pregnant, or breast feeding should not use acne antibiotics – like tetracycline. Therefore most doctors will prescribe a less toxic oral acne medication like erythromycin, but the results are not as successful. So neither choice is the “best acne medicine.”

We here at Wrinkle Free Skin Tips have been researching natural acne products and products to enhance great health skin at any age. We found a natural acne product that contains Chinese medicine and herbs to not only heal acne, but happens to be great for aging skin too.

We understand that acne can severely affect a persons’ self esteem and cause depression or isolation. That’s why we made finding a natural effective herbal remedy our main priority.

Many people have tried a drug store type, over the counter acne treatment like Neutrogena acne medicine or Oxy acne medicine but these products are usually not potent enough to deliver excellent results – especially for people with stubborn acne, they need a severe acne treatment.

Vitamins For Dry Skin

August 1st, 2009

If you are suffering from dry patchy skin or dry itchy skin there are some vitamins for dry skin that can be very effective. One of the most important vitamins for dry skin and most forgotten is fish oil. Fish oil is one of the easiest home remedies for dry skin, relieving dry skin patches and for keeping your skin younger too.

Fish oils also help reduce inflammation and irritation so this combination of regulated oils and reduce inflammation makes this an excellent vitamin for not only dry skin itchy skin, but also for those who suffer from eczema, psoriasis, and Acne.

Many people are not aware of the connection between omega 3 fatty acids and prostaglandins which are important for healthy, disease free skin.

Prostaglandins are special hormones that regulate functions within your skin cells. They also keep a hormone called (androgen) in check so that you dont produce excess sebum (oil) in the hair follicle which is a main cause of acne, oily skin, clogged pores, blackheads, and whiteheads starts. They are also responsible for inflammatory and anti-inflammatory reactions in the body. For younger skin you need to produce the “good” prostaglandins.

For younger skin you need to produce the “good” prostaglandins and the best way accomplished this by consuming enough omega 3 essential fatty acids (fish oil) — which are the precursors to the “good” prostaglandins — however most of us never get enough.

You can get most of your fish oil from cold water, oily fish like salmon and tuna. But the problem is many people don’t like fish and eating fish more than 3 times a week is not recommend due to polluted waters and toxins in the fish such as mercury and others. As a health advisor I have researched to find a safe, Molecularly Distilled (pure source) of fish oil capsules like Super pure Omega 3 EPA/DHA. You must take care in choosing the right fish oil supplement that is free from PCB’s and other toxins.

Some other vitamins for dry skin include vitamin A which is an important antioxidant and quencher of free radicals. People who are deficient in vitamin often suffer from dry patchy skin, wrinkles, dry hair and scalp, and dry eyes. Good sources of vitamin A are: Milk, egg yolks, carrots, green and yellow leafy vegetables.

Vitamin E is an excellent vitamin to help preserve skin moisture and stimulate cell renewal. Plus, its an antioxidant which can help keep the skin and body young. Good sources of vitamin E are: nuts, oils, vegetables, sunflower seeds, whole grains, spinach, oils, seeds, wheat oils, asparagus, avocado, beef, seafood.

Common Rashes – Types of Skin Rashes

July 28th, 2009

Just hearing the word rash may make you feel itchy. The term itself covers a lot of territory. Basically common rashes alter the look and feel of your skin. Some are very small, while others may appear throughout the body.

The causes of skin rashes are nearly as diversified as the type of skin rashes. A person can get a viral rash, bacterial rash, one caused by fungus, a sun poisoning rash, sweat rash, or one even brought on by stress.

Seeing pictures of skin rashes might give a basic rash diagnosis, however, it is important to get a medical skin rash diagnosis because many rash types can look similar.

The most common types of rashes are Atopic dermatitis. These types of rashes are genetic and usually start in childhood. The symptoms include dry scaly skin on the chest, arms, and legs.

Another very common type of rash is contact dermatitis. Simply put, your skin reacts when it comes into contact with an allergy or irritant. Poison ivy rash is a good typical example.

Two other types of rashes that are scaly in nature are psoriasis and pityriasis rosea. Psoriasis is often times genetically linked and can appear as a leg rash, elbow rash and on the knees.

Internal Rash Aid: If you suffer from common rashes or fungal rash, HIV rash, or prickly heat rash consider trying a natural herbal product taken internally. This homeopathic product purifies and detoxifies the skin from the inside out.

These homeopathic tablets are taken internally to boost the immune system and hydrate the skinkeeping it healthy. And its much cleaner that messy lotions, potions, or creams.
