Here’s a little bit of Science lesson for today: Proteins, called IgE antibodies, are produced by our immune system as our in-built defense. These antibodies work by stopping things that can make us sick from invading our bodies.

When a person has allergy to numerous things, his or her immune system works in order to manufacture antibodies that fight the effects of these allergens. However, there are instances when the individual’s immune system works in overdrive, continually producing these antibodies that, in turn, trigger the release of histamines even if there are no threats of allergies. These histamines can actually cause indicators of allergic reactions if these are released in the bloodstream.

Most people’s allergies can be set off by contact with animal fur or aspiration of dust and/or pollen particles. Other causes for allergies are pet dander, insect bites, and spider venom. Well, you probably figured it out by now that the reason you can’t stop sneezing when your girlfriend’s favorite pet is nearby is because you’re allergic to its fur.

Allergies will have various symptoms, aside from the infamous constant sneezing. There are various ways that allergic reactions can show in an individual; it would all depend on what particular foreign body the individual is sensitive to. A slight itching of the skin is one of the most common signs of an allergy. For some, they would experience a breakout of hives or rashes. Nonetheless, allergic reactions should be closely monitored, considering that there are people who would suddenly go into anaphylactic shock (a fatal condition) when they come in contact with known allergens.

The following are some examples of identified allergic reactions to certain allergens and their general signs.

Once a week or so give yourself a nice mask facial for dry skin. This mask will also help tighten the skin ” so consider using it before going out for big night. Your skin will look fabulous! Here is what youll need for the Dry Skin Mask:

- 2 egg yolks – 2-3 teaspoons of honey

First beat the egg yolks well, then add the honey and mix again. Apply this mask to your whole face, neck, and even backs of your hands. Leave on for 30 minutes and rinse well. Then blot dry and apply a good high quality, therapeutic moisturizer.

Dry Skin Treatments and Diet

Your skin responds quickly to a healthy diet. We are so fat phobic that we often forget our bodies need a little bit of the good fat. So try adding a little more olive oil to your salads, flaxseeds to your yogurt or cereal and avocados in your salad. Science has proven the connection between low essential fat intake and skin disorders. Also, dont forget to eat your fish. Fish oil is excellent for not just the skin, but for reducing cholesterol, depression and arthritis. If you dont like fish, taking a good, high quality fish oil supplement.

Home Remedies for Dry Skin – Moisturizer for Dry Skin

In some cases, home remedies for dry skin may not be enough to cure dry skin symptoms and some people find they need a little extra help by using a good dry skin cream or lotion. The best lotion for dry skin is one that wont rub or wipe off right after you apply it and is noncomdegenic (wont clog pores or cause breakouts). After months of researching we found a therapeutic dry skin lotion that is clinically tested and guaranteed to meet pharmaceutical standards. Plus it contains natural soothing botanicals and protect against sun damage.
