During the ‘good old days’ we did not have the modern medicine that we have today. All people had to treat their illnesses were natural herbal treatments. In time, pharmaceuticals were created replacing many herbal remedies that became disused and forgotten.

Precisely what types of herbs are of help in treating eczema? Let us take a glance at some useful herbs and in many cases, you will find that a mix of herbs works best.

Aloe is one herb that is quite effective for a lot of skin conditions. Aloe is found within many moisturizing creams and works to help moisturize the skin. Dry skin is one of the signs of eczema and the aloe is useful to counter this.

Calendula herb can be really good when made into a cream and used on the skin. This will soothe your skin so it’s particularly beneficial for skin that is red and inflamed. Oregon grape root and witch hazel are two other herbs that work in a similar way.

Yet another good eczema herbal remedy option would be to add rosemary to your bath water. Rosemary can help stimulate circulation in the skin that can assist with the healing process. Oat straw is yet another herb that may give similar results.

Chickweed or turmeric may be used in poultices and applied to the affected skin areas. This may help the skin to heal and will also relieve the pain and itching cause by the eczema.

People have different triggers for eczema and will therefore respond in a different way to treatments. A treatment that works well for one person won’t necessarily work for another, therefore it is just a case of experimentation and you will soon find the best eczema herbal remedy solution that works for you.

If you ask those who have overcome their eczema issues what was one of the most effective methods; most of them will tell you eczema natural remedies. I suffered from this myself a few years back, and you can probably imagine everything I’ve gone through. Whether it was the physical limitations, emotional problems, or even the itchy scales, I seemed to have everything. In fact, I literally had bumps all over my skin. I spent thousands of dollars on dermatologists, but at the end of the day I was still suffering.

One of my friends visited me and suggested that I use eczema herbal remedies for treating the disease. She said that it is relatively a mild disease and can be cured effectively through natural remedies. She told me that most of the medications and prescriptions for eczema result into several side effects.

The side effects were definitely present, but if I used eczema natural remedies I wouldn’t have to worry about them. I asked her where she found this information and it turns out she had some guide she bought for her own eczema problem.

This information revolved around applying a cloth to the affected area saturated with milk. So as I was a total skeptic in the back of my head I left the cloth on for about 4 or 5 minutes. It didn’t cure my eczema, but it did soothe the affected area.

This helped relieve the itching issue, but you still needed to take it a step further. You could do this by using ground colloidal oatmeal and adding it to your bath. Then just sit there for 10 minutes and let it set into your eczema.

When I applied petroleum jelly to the skin right after bathing, it secured the affected areas and moisturized the dried skin. This is a more effective natural eczema treatment than using a moisturizer as most of the moisturizers cause dehydration of the skin damaging the skin even more.

Chamomile Herbal Eczema Remedy

Research into the efficiency of chamomile cream to deal with eczema showed it was a lot more helpful than a hydrocortisone cream, but only marginally more effective than a placebo cream. So this makes it seem that the hydrocortisone cream was pretty useless really.

Witch Hazel Herbal Eczema Remedy

In German research, a witch hazel cream was tested for efficiency against a hydrocortisone cream. The research proved that the hydrocortisone cream was a lot better treatment than witch hazel cream.

So as you can see, out of these three herbal eczema treatments, the only one which seemed to be any good was the liquorice gel, so it may be worth thinking about trying that. As with any treatment for eczema you need to find the one that works most successfully for you.

A pregnant female has to always realize what she is putting within or on her body. Everything she does affects the new life growing inside her. Although natural and herbal remedies are generally considered safe, she still needs to know of possible side effects these treatments may cause.

A pregnant woman with eczema is faced with a dilemma–what can she do to provide relief from the itchy, inflamed skin associated with this irritating skin disease, meanwhile protecting her growing fetus from potential negative side effects?

It is always better to talk with your doctor prior to utilizing any medications, even “natural” ones. If you are already taking medications or other treatments for eczema when you learn of your pregnancy, be sure to tell your doctor. Many conventional eczema medications are very strong and could affect your new baby.

Even if you’re thinking about a natural way to get rid of your eczema, you should still check with your doctor to be sure there are no unexpected side effects. Even though natural plant and herbal remedies are generally considered safe to use, you want to be sure there are no potentially negative effects to the health of your developing baby.

The most vital thing for a pregnant woman with eczema to do is stop the flare ups linked with this condition. Taking warm baths with a gentle, chemical-free soap will help avoid unnecessary skin irritation. Keep your skin moist with a quality, hypoallergenic moisturizing lotion.

Stress is proven to irritate eczema skin. Lessening and staying away from stress is extremely beneficial for the general health of mother and kid. She can use various methods to reduce stress that do not depend on any form of medicine–natural or conventional. Meditation and biofeedback training are methods often used for general stress reduction.

Finding out what creates your eczema flare ups is very critical. The better you understand your disease, the better you can cope with it.

Discover the things that cause eczema and stay away from them as much as you can. Common triggering factors are perfumes, detergents, and specific fabrics like wool. Excessive heat or cold can also cause an eczema flare-up.

Try to stay away from sweating excessively in the summer time. In the winter it is vital to make sure your skin does not get too dry. Use a good moisturizer to keep your skin soft and supple.

Following these general guidelines can help you have a happier pregnancy while avoiding the itchiness and irritation of eczema flare-ups.

If you are battling with eczema, there are some efficient Eczema Natural Remedies that can stop the itching, burning, redness, and clear your skin in less than 2 weeks. Click Here if you are serious about ending this problem for good.

The best acne product should current breakouts, help heal the skin and prevent future breakouts. One of the most common problems with acne antibioticis is that while it kills the bacteria that cause acne breakouts, it does not teats the symptoms or underlying causes of acne.

This means the person suffering from acne must stay on this medication all their lives for clear skin. And that can cause some pretty nasty side effects including:

- Skin rashes
- Sunlight sensitivity
- An overgrowth of yeast (thrush).

In addition, women who may become pregnant, are pregnant, or breast feeding should not use acne antibiotics – like tetracycline. Therefore most doctors will prescribe a less toxic oral acne medication like erythromycin, but the results are not as successful. So neither choice is the “best acne medicine.”

We here at Wrinkle Free Skin Tips have been researching natural acne products and products to enhance great health skin at any age. We found a natural acne product that contains Chinese medicine and herbs to not only heal acne, but happens to be great for aging skin too.

We understand that acne can severely affect a persons’ self esteem and cause depression or isolation. That’s why we made finding a natural effective herbal remedy our main priority.

Many people have tried a drug store type, over the counter acne treatment like Neutrogena acne medicine or Oxy acne medicine but these products are usually not potent enough to deliver excellent results – especially for people with stubborn acne, they need a severe acne treatment.

Based on this information and after evaluating hundreds of acne products, we found a simple and easy 3 step process that offers powerful and proven results for adult acne. While treating the skin gently and encouraging healthy skin support. This 3 step system will:

Cleanse the skin – While it’s important to keep the skin clean, you need to be careful not to over dry it. You acne cleanser should clear pores, but not strip the oil.

Reduce Bacteria – Daily application of a topical anti-bacterial treatment that won’t dry the skin can and help keep it clear of bacterial overgrowth. In addition, it should reduce swelling, scaring , redness, and inflammation.

Heal From Within – Unhealthy skin usually starts from within. That’s why for complete success it is important to begin skin healing the inside by taking a healing herbal supplement to cleanse the body and regulate imbalanced hormones, and balance the pH factor of your skin.

Psoriasis home remedies are very popular today no surprise considering there are over 260,000 new cause of psoriasis are diagnosed each year and Americans have spent over 1.6 Billion dollars to treat this psoriasis. With these numbers, its no wonder many people are searching for natural remedies for psoriasis.

Most psoriasis sufferers are too embarrassed to go without covering their skin. And many avoid public places like the beach or pool without covering up. And, to make matters worse, many psoriasis medications often have negative side-effects, leaving the poor psoriasis suffer desperate to find a natural remedy.

Psoriasis Facts: Most psoriasis symptoms and flare-ups are often aggravated by certain environmental causes like sudden temperature changes, dry cold weather, anxiety, stress, and certain medications like NSAID.

Should you suffer from the pains of eczema, you know all too well the misery that it can cause. However, a remedy may have been found in the shape of Chinese healing herbs.

New research results, presented at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, suggest that traditional Chinese herbal treatments may be helpful in the treatment of both children and adults.

In order to evaluate concerns about whether such an approach works, and is safe to use, medical researcher Julia Wisniewski, MD, of Mount Sinai Hospital in New York undertook studies on 14 young people who were suffering from eczema and were treated with traditional Chinese medicine between August 2006 and May 2008.

All of the children drank Erka Shizheng Herbal Tea twice daily, took a herbal bath for at least 20 minutes, and applied a herbal cream to their skin throughout the day. They also were treated using acupuncture.

At the beginning of the study, more than half had severe eczema symptoms; after 8 months of this regime, the majority had only mild symptoms. The children also required less medication, such as antibiotics and steriods, after only three months of being treated.

As for adult eczema, a group of researchers in Japan learned that grown ups can also reap the benefits of Chinese medicine. Their work involved 274 adults who had suffered with eczema for around 12 years on average. About a third had symptoms that could be classified as severe.

After three to four months of treatment with herbal remedies which had been chosen and administered based on the patient’s symptoms, around 85% were free from eczema symptoms. A further 12% were said to be much better.

Therefore, while more studies are needed, these studies offer promising results and suggest that, as an eczema sufferer, it’s time to consider using Chinese treatments and healing herbs.

Home remedies for dry skin have been around forever and some are pretty effective. Here Ill list a few easy to use and safe dry skin remedies. While a treatment for dry skin is not necessarily a cure for dry skin, many people found relief from extremely dry skin conditions using one or all of the home remedies outlined on this page.

Best Treatment For Dry Skin

Of all the home remedies for dry skin that are effective, the most important one is to stop using soap. In fact, this tip is for everyone, regarless if they have normal skin, oily skin, or dry skin because most soaps are not pH balanced. All skin cleansers should be pH balanced. This means it should have a pH of around 7 which is neutral. If your skin care cleansers dont list the pH balance, dont buy it.

Normal healthy skin should be in the pH range of 4.2 to 6.5 pH…..this is sort of in the middle of not being too acidic or too alkaline. And your facial cleanser cream should also be within this range. At this level, the acid mantle (the skin surface) is in good condition and is able to protect the skin from damaging elements of the environment like wind, sun, dehydraton, or bacteria.

One of the best things you can do to cure dry skin is to massage emu oil into the skin. Emu oil has been around for thousands of year and has been used by the Aborigines. They had to brave the harsh sun of Australia and knew that not only can emu oil moisturize the skin; it has been known to heal and protect it. You should apply the Emu Oil each time you wash your skin and every night before you go to bed. Its best to apply the oil while the skin is still damp, not wet, and just slightly damp like right after drying it with a towel.

Dry Facial Skin Mask

Once a week or so give yourself a nice mask facial for dry skin. This mask will also help tighten the skin ” so consider using it before going out for big night. Your skin will look fabulous! Here is what youll need for the Dry Skin Mask:

- 2 egg yolks – 2-3 teaspoons of honey

First beat the egg yolks well, then add the honey and mix again. Apply this mask to your whole face, neck, and even backs of your hands. Leave on for 30 minutes and rinse well. Then blot dry and apply a good high quality, therapeutic moisturizer.

Dry Skin Treatments and Diet

Your skin responds quickly to a healthy diet. We are so fat phobic that we often forget our bodies need a little bit of the good fat. So try adding a little more olive oil to your salads, flaxseeds to your yogurt or cereal and avocados in your salad. Science has proven the connection between low essential fat intake and skin disorders. Also, dont forget to eat your fish. Fish oil is excellent for not just the skin, but for reducing cholesterol, depression and arthritis. If you dont like fish, taking a good, high quality fish oil supplement.

Home Remedies for Dry Skin – Moisturizer for Dry Skin

In some cases, home remedies for dry skin may not be enough to cure dry skin symptoms and some people find they need a little extra help by using a good dry skin cream or lotion. The best lotion for dry skin is one that wont rub or wipe off right after you apply it and is noncomdegenic (wont clog pores or cause breakouts). After months of researching we found a therapeutic dry skin lotion that is clinically tested and guaranteed to meet pharmaceutical standards. Plus it contains natural soothing botanicals and protect against sun damage.

If you are suffering from dry patchy skin or dry itchy skin there are some vitamins for dry skin that can be very effective. One of the most important vitamins for dry skin and most forgotten is fish oil. Fish oil is one of the easiest home remedies for dry skin, relieving dry skin patches and for keeping your skin younger too.

Fish oils also help reduce inflammation and irritation so this combination of regulated oils and reduce inflammation makes this an excellent vitamin for not only dry skin itchy skin, but also for those who suffer from eczema, psoriasis, and Acne.

Many people are not aware of the connection between omega 3 fatty acids and prostaglandins which are important for healthy, disease free skin.

Prostaglandins are special hormones that regulate functions within your skin cells. They also keep a hormone called (androgen) in check so that you dont produce excess sebum (oil) in the hair follicle which is a main cause of acne, oily skin, clogged pores, blackheads, and whiteheads starts. They are also responsible for inflammatory and anti-inflammatory reactions in the body. For younger skin you need to produce the “good” prostaglandins.

For younger skin you need to produce the “good” prostaglandins and the best way accomplished this by consuming enough omega 3 essential fatty acids (fish oil) — which are the precursors to the “good” prostaglandins — however most of us never get enough.

You can get most of your fish oil from cold water, oily fish like salmon and tuna. But the problem is many people don’t like fish and eating fish more than 3 times a week is not recommend due to polluted waters and toxins in the fish such as mercury and others. As a health advisor I have researched to find a safe, Molecularly Distilled (pure source) of fish oil capsules like Super pure Omega 3 EPA/DHA. You must take care in choosing the right fish oil supplement that is free from PCB’s and other toxins.

Some other vitamins for dry skin include vitamin A which is an important antioxidant and quencher of free radicals. People who are deficient in vitamin often suffer from dry patchy skin, wrinkles, dry hair and scalp, and dry eyes. Good sources of vitamin A are: Milk, egg yolks, carrots, green and yellow leafy vegetables.

Vitamin E is an excellent vitamin to help preserve skin moisture and stimulate cell renewal. Plus, its an antioxidant which can help keep the skin and body young. Good sources of vitamin E are: nuts, oils, vegetables, sunflower seeds, whole grains, spinach, oils, seeds, wheat oils, asparagus, avocado, beef, seafood.
