There are 10 different types of eczema including atopic, contact dermatitis, xerotic, seborrheic dermatitis, dyshidrosis, iscoid, venous, dermatitis herpetiformis, neurodermatitis and autoeczematization.

Autoeczematization is a reaction to certain infections and is cured when the infection is dealt with. Neurodermatitis is a thickened area of colored skin that is caused by rubbing or scratching. Treatment includes behavior changes and antihistamines.

A severe itching and symmetrical rashes on the arms and legs, knees and back that gets worse at night describes dermatitis herpetiformis. Caused by celiac disease, the treatment includes changing the diet and treating the disease.

Stasis dermatitis or venous eczema is due to bad circulation, and affects ankles of those persons over 50. Scaling red skin that darkens and itches are common symptoms. Found commonly as a precursor to leg ulcers, it is treated with reducing swelling and helping circulation.

Exudative or discoid offers symptoms of oozing round areas or a dry rash that has definite boundaries on the lower section of legs that gets worse in winter. There is no cause known and no cure, because it comes and goes on its own.

The soles of the feet, sides of fingers or toes and on the palms of the hands are common sites for dyshirdrosis. Small areas called vesicles along with thick skin and cracking of the skin with itching that gets worse at night are common symptoms. Warm months make the condition worse, and is only treated with anti itching prescriptions.

Cradle cap or seborrhic dermatitis is much like dandruff in babies. Symptoms include peeling or greasy scalp, eyebrows and face. Considered harmless except in severe cases, it causes thick scalp rashes that are yellow, caused by a lack of biotin. Curing it means increasing biotin levels in the body.

Xerotic is also called winter itch, and is dry skin that turns into eczema. Getting worse in the winter, the body and legs are the most affected. A cause is ichthyosis and looks like a dry river bed, and there is no treatment.

Contact dermatitis can be due to an irritant or allergy, and is cured by removing said items that cause the reaction. Atopic is related to allergies that are inherited, and is associated with asthma. Presenting with itchy red spots, this condition is treated in much the same way as contact dermatitis.

Just hearing the word rash may make you feel itchy. The term itself covers a lot of territory. Basically common rashes alter the look and feel of your skin. Some are very small, while others may appear throughout the body.

The causes of skin rashes are nearly as diversified as the type of skin rashes. A person can get a viral rash, bacterial rash, one caused by fungus, a sun poisoning rash, sweat rash, or one even brought on by stress.

Seeing pictures of skin rashes might give a basic rash diagnosis, however, it is important to get a medical skin rash diagnosis because many rash types can look similar.

The most common types of rashes are Atopic dermatitis. These types of rashes are genetic and usually start in childhood. The symptoms include dry scaly skin on the chest, arms, and legs.

Another very common type of rash is contact dermatitis. Simply put, your skin reacts when it comes into contact with an allergy or irritant. Poison ivy rash is a good typical example.

Two other types of rashes that are scaly in nature are psoriasis and pityriasis rosea. Psoriasis is often times genetically linked and can appear as a leg rash, elbow rash and on the knees.

Internal Rash Aid: If you suffer from common rashes or fungal rash, HIV rash, or prickly heat rash consider trying a natural herbal product taken internally. This homeopathic product purifies and detoxifies the skin from the inside out.

These homeopathic tablets are taken internally to boost the immune system and hydrate the skinkeeping it healthy. And its much cleaner that messy lotions, potions, or creams.

Dealing with the disease known as Eczema is hard to do some times. The severity of the problem differs from case to case. Like most problems we have we have been unable to find a cure just a treatment. Eczema treatment is available for you if you are afflicted with this problem. The results will be varied depending on the type of treatment you seek.

Eczema is a disease that’s very similar to Dermatitis. Dermatitis is essentially an irritation or inflammation of the skin, or epidermis if you prefer that term. Most treatments are worth at least one try to see if they work or not. In rare cases there are reports of sever pain associated with the disease. These can be the toughest cases to deal with.

Most common symptoms of the disease can result in a rash or other small skin irritation that refuses to leave. In some worst cases it can resemble a full blown sun burn. Personal symptoms may very but essentially you will have small blotches on your arms and legs. In most cases a long sleeved shirt can cover things up but it may not work all the time.

Skin irritations are no one’s friend and doctors have a hard time getting them to go away. Most doctors need to know a good bit about skin care in order for it to go into remission but they occasionally run into a problem or two. Generally if they can get it to go away it might still come back in future dates. Annoying little bugger isn’t it?

There are treatment options available if you wish to seek them out. Most people tend to go with antibiotic ointments, and creams. These are healing salves mixed with antibiotics to kill all bacteria on the affected area. This will illuminate all bad bacteria but will also kill the good bacteria. It a choice you have to make. But most people tend to make these their first choice.

Another form of treatment is steroids. Steroids can help your body alleviate the symptoms of Eczema. Many allergies are treated with steroids especially when they are plant based allergies. There is one other treatment you can request but your doctor may be hesitant to prescribe it. This is an immuno suppressant and it’s not given unless it’s absolutely necessary.

There are many reasons for this but mainly because it can hurt you. Your immune system will be suppressed and you will be open to other diseases and viruses. Scientists are still looking for cures so don’t lose hope. Just remember that it may take a while to finally figure out this disease. Medicine isn’t perfect.

The options for eczema treatment are not limited but results may vary. It can be hard living with the disease if you have one of the more intense cases. In which case all you can do is treat the side affects and try to get rid of the rash as best as possible. In any case be sure to consult your doctor before you try anything drastic. Cutting your arm off is not the solution.
