Symptom # 1 – The Burning Itch.

There are many skin inflammations, and eczema is just one of these. Skin get irritated by many different means, causing us to seek relief from the itch by scratching. The need to scratch from the itching is universal. But the need to scratch from the itching of eczema is different. It is a constant need to scratch that never ends. Most itches are temporary in nature. But with eczema, the itching is ever present.

Symptom # 2 – Patchy Red Skin

Eczema produces the red rashes in response to the scratching of the irritated skin. Large or small areas of skin can be affected. Once the rash develops, some people try to stop scratching but the urge to continue is uncontrollable at time. For many, this is there only hope for relief and it leads to the next symptom which is blister-like sores.

Symptom #3 – Blisters That May Ooze

There can only be two results from the scratching of the skin due to the inflammation of eczema. One will be the draining of clear or slightly discolored fluid from the blister-like sores. Then, over time the sores will heal to a crust-like surface.

Symptom # 4 – Patches Of Dry, Flaky Skin

Eczema produces many appearances on the skin like oozing blister-like sores. Some people may suffer from dry, scaly, or flaky like skin patches. These areas produce itching because the damaged skin is being replaced by new skin to repair the damaged done by the eczema. During this phase, the patchy areas of skin look as if they will fall off at any moment.

Once you know the common signs and symptoms of eczema, you can begin to look for relief. But where do you find this relief? The first thing we do is to keep dry skin to a minimum by keeping your body well moisturized. The second thing is to search for outside influences that may trigger your episodes of eczema. Some of these outside influences may include certain foods, airborne allergens, scented bath and body products, stress, or the weather.
