Face Eczema – What You Can Do To Rid Yourself Of It Forever
Eczema is often confused with dry skin. In reality it is a skin condition that stems from allergies from substances that are ingested, touched, or inhaled into the body. The body attempts to get rid of the toxins which causes the allergy to manifest as an itchy rash on the skin which if scratched will begin to weep and in some cases bleed.
Below are a few tips I have put together to help you understand some common causes of eczema and what you can do about it:
Putting Your Hands On Your Face – Without really paying attention our hands meet with a variety of objects throughout the day. Some of the things may cause an irritation to your skin. It is for this reason that it is important to be extra careful to wash your hands or use a hand sanitize after coming into contact with objects that may harbor allergens.
At first trying to keep from touching your face will seem like a pain in the butt. Whatever you do – do not give up. This is a crucial part of dealing with face eczema. It is nothing more than a habit and psychological studies have proven that it takes approximately thirty days to change a habit.
Little To No Moisture In The Skin – Dry skin leads to itching, which will cause you to scratch and break the top layer of skin. The opening in the skin and the constant scratching could lead to and infection.
Since the skin on the face is exposed more to environmental elements, which all contribute to drying and disturbing the balance of the skin. It is recommended that you use a dermatologically tested skin moisturizer, which does not contain any type of perfumes and parabens which are extremely harmful to your skin. I also recommend that you moisturize your skin at least once a day.
Eating Habits – The substance that we put into our bodies are responsible for our health and skin condition. Although there are a ton of foods that have negative effects on the skin, eczema sufferers have to be extra cautious.
In most cases eczema sufferers already know which foods they are allergic to. However there are a few others that you need to be aware of as well. The foods that I am referring to are, heavily spiced foods, processed foods that contain an abundance of additives, preservatives, and foods which contain mono-sodium-glutamate and an excessive alcohol intake.
When planning your diet your goal should be to maintain a balanced diet and to eat lots of fruits and vegetables, because they consist of the required minerals and vitamins such as Vitamin C, which contains properties that aid the skin in the regeneration process.
